• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS Lambda functions across the ecoATM accounts platform - covering authentication (Cognito), user profiles, orders, newsletters, and third-party integrations.
• Develop and operate containerized, event-driven communication systems supporting SMS/email workflows, webhooks, subscriptions, and scheduled campaigns (Twilio, SendGrid, Iterable, SNS, Fargate).
• Extend and maintain the serverless payment engine managing the full transaction lifecycle, including webhook processing, DynamoDB stream publishing, and multi-provider payment flows (PayPal, Venmo, gift cards).
• Build and evolve APIs and microservices using Node.js, GraphQL, and RESTful patterns; persist data in DynamoDB, MySQL, and Opensearch.
• Implement operational services - address verification, shipping label generation (S3), promo-code management (Voucherify) - that support internal workflows at scale.
• Manage and improve the Lerna-based monorepo architecture to maximize code reuse, dependency hygiene, and deployment consistency across Lambda services.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using Vitest (mocks, spies, coverage), upholding CI/CD quality gates.
• Facilitate effective communication with client stakeholders regarding project status, technical trade-offs, and recommendations.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies - daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives - and contribute to engineering community initiatives (CoPs, mentoring).
• Leverage AI-assisted development tooling (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate feature delivery and maintain high code quality.

• Advanced: Demonstrated expertise built from repeated and diverse practical experience. Able to mentor others in this skill.
• Intermediate: Good relevant practical experience and can credibly discuss/offer perspective
• Foundational: Understanding of fundamentals but limited/no practical experience, * 5-7+ years of professional experience as an active participant on an Agile development team.
• Expert command of JavaScript / TypeScript (ES6+), Node.js, and modern async patterns.
• Expert experience building and operating AWS serverless applications: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, ECS/Fargate, S3, Cognito.
• Advanced experience with GraphQL schema design, resolvers, and REST-based web services.
• Advanced experience with relational databases (MySQL) and document/search stores (DynamoDB, Opensearch).
• Advanced experience with event-driven and microservice architectures targeting high availability and throughput.
• Advanced experience writing unit and integration tests; strong command of Vitest or equivalent frameworks (mocks, spies, coverage reporting).
• Working experience with Lerna or similar monorepo tooling for multi-package Lambda projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work on complex enterprise systems or successfully deliver a greenfield product.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and communicate trade-offs clearly.

Additional Experience Desired:

• Hands-on experience with third-party integrations: Twilio, SendGrid, Iterable, Shopify, or payment processors (PayPal, Venmo).
• Experience with promo/coupon engine integrations (Voucherify or similar).
• Experience with Docker, containerized ECS deployments, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding workflows (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent).
