• Architect, code, and test embedded software in modern C++ for real-time operating systems and advanced processors
• Lead small engineering teams through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Collaborate cross-functionally across hardware, test, and systems teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, ensuring best practices and code quality
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process automation
• Engage in technical problem-solving and performance optimization for complex systems

Support system integration, validation, and troubleshooting on custom hardware platforms Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s in STEM field and 8+ years embedded C++ software engineering experience (or advanced degree and 5+ years)
• Proven expertise in embedded RTOS, board and processor architecture
• Demonstrated leadership in small engineering teams
• Mastery of the full SDLC, from requirements through deployment
• Effective cross-functional communicator and collaborator
• Active, transferable Secret Clearance required prior to start Preferred Skills
• Proficiency with UML, OOA-D, SysML modeling
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, CI, TDD, and DevOps tools (Jenkins)
• Familiarity with FPGA interfaces and custom hardware integrations
• ARM, Versal, or similar platform experience; performance tuning
• Understanding of CORBA, microservices, containers
