Job description
A large financial services and trading firm is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer for a full-time opportunity based in Chicago, IL. This engineer will play a key role in scaling Kubernetes environments and enhancing the organization’s observability platform. As a technology-driven trading shop, the company relies on highly available, scalable infrastructure to support mission-critical trading operations.
The team leverages GitLab for Kubernetes deployments, and this position will work closely with cross-functional teams to support platform adoption and onboarding efforts. The role will also focus on infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Experience with Prometheus and Grafana
- Ability to work directly with trading desks and business stakeholders
Desired Skills
- Experience with Airflow or Kubeflow
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous experience working at a trading firm or within financial services
- Experience working on a small, collaborative engineering team
