Job description

Develop robust Python backends using Django, FastAPI (including async/ASGI) with modern Python 3.13+.
Build production-grade frontends using React, Next.js or equivalent modern frameworks.
Design RESTful APIs, Backend-for-Frontend patterns, and Pydantic-driven validation.
Handle PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, migrations, and data loading.
Manage AWS application deployment and troubleshooting across classified partitions and regions (EKS, Aurora, S3, IAM, VPC, KMS).
Utilize Terraform for infrastructure module development and maintenance.
Integrate authentication using Keycloak, OIDC, SAML, or CAC/PIV with secure token handling.
Maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines and ensure secure development for STIG-hardened, FIPS-validated environments.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI Clearance is strictly required.
5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
Proven production experience with Python (Django/FastAPI) and modern frontend (React/Next.js).
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud deployment, Terraform, and DevSecOps tools.
Must live in Maryland and be comfortable working onsite in Suitland, MD 2-3 days weekly if required., * Are you a US Citizen or a Green Card holder?
Are you able and willing to work on-site in Suitland, MD, 2 to 3 days per week as required?
Is the annual base salary range of $150,000 - $170,000 acceptable to you?
Do you have hands-on, end-to-end production experience developing both Python backends (Django/FastAPI) and React/Next.js frontends?
What is your hands-on experience with classified AWS deployments, Terraform module development, and authentication frameworks (such as Keycloak, OIDC, or SAML)?
Describe your experience with resolving DevSecOps challenges and utilizing AI-assisted development tools in secure environments.
