Enterprise Solutions Architect - AWS

GovCIO is currently hiring for an Enterprise Solution Architect (AWS) to support an opportunity with HHS to rationalize, navigate, modernize/migrate and sustain its IT portfolio in a multi-cloud hybrid infrastructure. This position will be located in the Northern VA / DC Metro area and will be a hybrid position with periodic travel to the customer site in Washington, D.C., The Enterprise Solutions Architect (AWS) will apply technical knowledge and expertise across multiple teams to architect and design solutions that meet business and IT needs, create solution roadmaps, drive POCs/MVPS, and ensure long term technical viability of cloud migrations, leveraging key technologies where appropriate.

• Designs and develops architectures, and defines key capabilities and performance requirements.
• Defines total systems design and technology maturity constraints in accordance with mission requirements.
• Develops architecture and design and interface definitions.
• Defines implementation approach and operational concept.
• Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
• Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customers.
• Interfaces with the user(s) and all other stakeholders in order to determine their needs.
• Generates the highest level of system requirements, based on the user’s needs and other constraints such as cost and schedule.
• Performs cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components.
• Designs and develops solutions to applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Eningeering or related field with 15+ years (or commensurate experience), * Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional

• At least 10 years of experience ideating, architecting, consulting, designing, developing, leading and delivering cloud infrastructure and cloud application platform technology solutions over the entire lifecycle of large scale, multi-team, complex enterprise projects.
• At least 8 years of experience in more than one of the following technical domains: Core Infrastructure, Application Development, Data and Analytics, and Low Code / No Code.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience supporting HHS with a preference of HHS Office of the Inspector General (OIG)

Posted Salary Range: USD $150,000.00 - USD $225,000.00 /Yr.
