Systems Administrator III (AIX) - Remote

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator III specializing in AIX/UNIX administration to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with IBM Power Systems, virtualization, automation, networking, and system troubleshooting., * Administer and maintain AIX/UNIX operating systems and enterprise infrastructure.

• Configure AIX LVM, LPARs, PowerVM, HMC, NIM, and VIOS.
• Perform AIX OS installations, system upgrades, firmware updates, and performance tuning.
• Manage networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, Ethernet, and shared Ethernet adapters.
• Automate tasks using Ansible, Python, and Unix/shell scripting.
• Troubleshoot system incidents and proactively improve system reliability.
• Support enterprise storage, NFS, LDAP, SSH/SFTP, and user administration.

• 8+ years of relevant systems administration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AIX/UNIX and IBM Power Systems.
• Experience with PowerVM, LPAR, HMC, NIM, VIOS, and AIX LVM.
• Knowledge of networking, clustering, system performance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Ansible, Python, or Unix/shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Must be located near Richmond, VA; New Jersey; or Dallas, TX.

Schedule: Initially Monday-Friday, with a potential shift to Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday

Pay: $55.00 - $71.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
