Java Engineering Lead, Equities OMS in Mundelein

The role partners closely with trading, product, operations, and senior technology leadership to shape the future of the firm’s electronic trading capabilities., A recognized technical leader who remains hands-on, understands electronic trading systems end-to-end, and can drive both near-term delivery and long-term platform strategy.

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record delivering electronic trading and front-office trading platforms. \n

• Deep expertise in Java and distributed systems architecture. \n

• Strong understanding of Equities market structure, OMS/EMS platforms, FIX protocol, and execution workflows. \n

• Proven experience building and operating front-office trading platforms at scale. \n

• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technology initiatives and influence senior stakeholders. \n

• Strong architectural, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. \n

• Equities electronic trading, DMA, smart order routing, or algorithmic trading experience. \n

• Experience with Kafka, Solace, Aeron, Redis, Hazelcast, Kubernetes, and cloud- technologies. \n

• Experience leading global engineering teams and large-scale platform transformations. \n

• Experience driving adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and agent-driven development workflows to improve software quality, delivery speed, and developer productivity. \n
