Engineering Manager, Cloud Security New

• Strong technical understanding of cloud security concepts and related risk management, with working knowledge of AWS infrastructure and security constructs (configuration, policy management, identity lifecycle, account architecture).
• Experience hiring, coaching, and cultivating a talented team across seniority levels.
• Empathetic leader who cultivates a culture of psychological safety and inclusion where all team members can do their best work.
• Track record of bringing structure and clarity to team operations (planning, ticketing, workflows, rhythms).
• Experience leading geographically distributed teams in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
• Experience actively contributing to and shaping a team’s long-term technical vision.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $510,000.00 - $752,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.

Netflix operates our streaming service control plane on Amazon Web Services, which has led to one of the largest and most sophisticated AWS environments in the world. Cloud Security for our public cloud deployments is critical to Netflix’s overall security posture, protecting our members, partners, employees, and intellectual property. This work is distributed across a number of Infrastructure Security teams - cloud security paved roads, posture management, architecture, consulting, and operational services.

This role leads both the Cloud Infrastructure Security (CIS) and Cloud Architecture, Tooling and Security (CATS) teams as people manager. The two charters are distinct and the teams operate independently: CIS owns the cloud security paved road for low-level security controls (posture management, cloud identity management and lifecycle, policy management). The work skews toward durable, scaled controls and our AWS Security vendor relationship. CATS designs and implements strategic high-level cloud security boundaries to balance risk while enabling business needs. The work skews toward dynamic, business-facing problems - account management, cloud IAM, and operational security services.

You will lead and develop a team of security experts and software engineers across the two charters.
