Test Engineer

This individual is responsible to perform all functions associated with support of the Quality Assurance Laboratory.

CRITICAL VITAL ACTIVITIES

Review material and performance specifications and determine which tests will be performed in-house.

Coordinate outside lab testing as required.

Generate a monthly report on standard laboratory metrics.

Assist in the determination of equipment needs for the performance laboratory.

Review and report test results and reports for completeness.

Generate a monthly report of year-to-date costs for outside testing.

Assist in the purchase and/or construction of performance test equipment as required.

Assure complete lab test equipment calibration and maintenance as required.

Create and maintain annual part validation schedule.

Ensure reliability, repeatability and inventory of all test data.

Bachelors degree in science and one year test lab experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills; metrology, inspection and testing experience; blueprint reading; Quality Information systems.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedures, work instructions and check sheets. Ability to write reports and present information in graphical format. Ability to communicate with all groups of personnel from management to production operators.

Ability to work with advanced mathematics and statistics and to analyze complex graphs. Ability to apply concepts such as PPM, percentages and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions as well as complete required sections of DVP&R documentation. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written or diagram form and deal with numbers.
