System Engineer NC

Support the DevOps team in testing and troubleshooting our web application Collaborate with operations and development teams to identify testing needs and develop test plans Triage reported operational issues Monitor Tier 1 application health and status metrics Report issues detected during testing or system usage via the ticketing system Perform system and application installations and upgrades Provide operational support and/or training to users Monitor and respond to application-related Jira Service Desk tickets Occasionally respond to mission-critical after-hours calls Participate in minor CONUS/OCONUS travel (~1-2 times per year)

10 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or 14 years without the degree Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines Experience working in Linux environments (RHEL 8/9, Rocky 8/9) Experience with Grafana Experience with Jira and Confluence Experience providing customer support through Jira Service Desk Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required , Desired Skills

Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby) Familiarity with containerized applications, specifically using Docker/Kubernetes Familiarity with BDD testing frameworks (Cucumber, Spock, Behave) Familiarity with automated configuration management tools (Ansible, Salt, Puppet) Experience with ElasticSearch and Kibana Experience with HCI/AWS Cloud services Experience with STE/STN & OS hardening Experience with IT Instances Authoritative Data Source (ADS)

The salary range for this role is $182,000 - $208,000. This range is a good faith estimate that reflects various experience levels.
