Design Engineer for Siemens NX - Onsite

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer specialized in NX (Siemens NX), a leading CAD/CAM/CAE software platform onsite. We are not able to do remote or hybrid work as this role needs to be able to see products in the facility. Designing custom 3D tooling solutions with design engineers, vendors, and internal teams. This role creates accurate CAD models, supports customer projects, and develops or maintains bills of materials for manufacturing readiness.

Duties

Apply mechanical design principles, project management skills, and technical communication using modern design tools, including CAD software.

Communicate BOM and design changes clearly to Floor Supervisors through verbal and electronic communication.

Develop designs on tight deadlines while communicating directly with customers.

Work independently with minimal supervision to solve operational and technical challenges while managing time effectively., Proficiency in NX (Siemens) programming, and CAD software for 3D modeling and drafting for at least 2 years, required

Strong mechanical engineering background with experience in mechanical product development projects

Expertise in mechanical drafting, mechanical detail drawings, schematics, and tolerance analysis

Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining and building information modeling (BIM) tools

Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), system design, and automation tools such as LabVIEW and MATLAB

Ability to perform root cause analysis using systematic troubleshooting techniques

Excellent cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines
