Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

You’ll work on cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, security, and system reliability. The role involves developing infrastructure as code, supporting cloud migrations, and resolving technical issues that affect performance or availability., We’re looking for an engineer with practical cloud experience who can automate routine work, troubleshoot infrastructure problems, and help keep systems secure and dependable.

What You’ll Do

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure based on application and business requirements.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and routine operational tasks.
• Use infrastructure-as-code tools to manage environments consistently and repeatably.
• Monitor cloud services and investigate performance, availability, and capacity issues.
• Apply security controls and access-management practices to cloud resources.
• Support cloud migrations, including planning, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Work with software developers and operations teams to improve deployment processes.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, procedures, and system changes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and help determine their root causes.
• Support backup, recovery, and business continuity practices.
• Review infrastructure configurations for reliability, security, and scalability.
• Participate in technical reviews and recommend practical improvements to cloud architecture.

• Professional experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or a related technical role.
• Practical knowledge of at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or comparable technologies.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of networking, identity and access management, storage, and compute services.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and incident response.
• Knowledge of cloud security practices and access controls.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to investigate technical problems and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong documentation, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial. Relevant practical experience may also be considered.

What We Expect

You should be able to identify infrastructure problems, assess their impact, and work through solutions methodically. Automation should be maintainable, infrastructure changes should be documented, and security should be considered throughout the development and deployment process.

You’ll also need to communicate effectively with developers and operations colleagues. When a migration, deployment, or infrastructure change introduces a risk, explain the issue clearly and work with the relevant team to resolve it.
