Senior Backend Engineer

Build and scale large-scale data pipelines for latency-sensitive analytical workloads. Design and develop secure, cost-efficient, and highly scalable backend systems. Work across the product and codebase in a hands-on engineering environment. Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and TypeScript. Collaborate with engineering teams, product leaders, company founders, and customers. Contribute to product strategy, technical architecture, and engineering roadmap decisions. Help establish engineering practices, technology standards, and scalable technical infrastructure. Solve complex backend and data engineering challenges as the platform continues to grow.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field. 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience. Experience in product, platform, or infrastructure engineering. Experience building or working with large-scale data pipelines. Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript. Strong software engineering, system design, and problem-solving skills. Experience working in a strong engineering-focused technology environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. U.S. work authorization. Ability to work in the Bay Area or relocate to the San Mateo area.
