Applications Engineer

• Provide technical guidance on generator breaker and outdoor distribution breaker applications for systems up to 38kV.
• Work directly with customers, utilities, engineering contractors, and power producers to develop appropriate electrical solutions.
• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, technical specifications, and project requirements to develop proposals and product recommendations.
• Deliver technical presentations, participate in design reviews, and support customer discussions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams to develop competitive solutions.
• Support projects involving grid modernization, renewable energy integration, and electrical infrastructure improvements.
• Help customers improve system reliability, safety, efficiency, and long-term equipment performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience in applications engineering, proposal engineering, power systems, utility engineering, project engineering, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of medium-voltage electrical distribution systems.

Preferences:

• Experience with medium-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, substations, or electrical protection and control systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA integration and applicable IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, and NEC standards.
• Background supporting utility, power generation, transmission, or renewable energy projects.
