Job description
A nationally recognized financial firm is seeking a VMware Engineer to support its hybrid infrastructure environment at either its Jersey City, New Jersey or Charlotte, North Carolina location., * Administer, monitor, and support enterprise VMware and virtualized infrastructure across on-premises and cloud-connected environments * Configure and maintain virtualization platforms, supporting hardware, and related infrastructure services * Troubleshoot complex virtualization, disaster recovery, and operational issues in real time * Support daily operational tasks while contributing to infrastructure projects and platform improvements * Document processes, procedures, and technical solutions to support operational consistency and knowledge sharing
Requirements
5+ years of VMware engineering or virtualization experience in an enterprise environment * Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and Site Recovery Manager * Experience with PowerShell scripting * Strong troubleshooting, triage, and root cause analysis skills * Ability to communicate technical information clearly with technical teams and business stakeholders * Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure environments
Desired Skills: * Experience with VMware Aria Suite tools * Familiarity with VxRail or VxBlock environments * Exposure to Rubrik, Dell EMC, or Cisco infrastructure * Automation experience using tools such as Ansible, PowerCLI, or similar scripting frameworks * Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation or VMware HCX
