Requirements

This position is ideal for an experienced IT auditor who can independently manage audit engagements, evaluate technology controls, and identify opportunities to strengthen risk management and compliance. The right candidate will have a strong internal IT audit background, hands-on SOX testing experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business leadership.

Required:

  • 3+ years of IT audit experience, preferably within an internal audit function
  • Experience evaluating IT general controls, application controls, technology infrastructure, and IT processes
  • Hands-on SOX documentation and testing experience, including assessing control design and operating effectiveness
  • Ability to independently plan and execute audit engagements, document findings, prepare workpapers, and communicate recommendations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field

Preferred:

  • CISA certification or other relevant credentials such as CIA, CISSP, or CPA
  • Public accounting experience, particularly with a Big 4 or other established accounting firm
  • Financial services experience within banking, mortgage lending, securities, insurance, or related industries
  • Experience conducting IT risk assessments, developing audit programs, and tracking remediation activities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical risks and audit findings to business and technology stakeholders

This is a strong opportunity for an IT audit professional looking to take greater ownership of engagements within an established financial services organization. The role offers exposure to multiple business lines, collaboration with technology and audit leadership, and the opportunity to contribute directly to improving internal controls and risk management.
