L3Harris seeks skilled Software Engineers to join our System Software group, where you will architect next-generation, mission-critical solutions. Our team is responsible for developing the core software infrastructure that integrates advanced communications technologies across complex subsystems. • Work closely with cross-functional team members to develop operational performance requirements, interface software and hardware components, and collaborate on system design
• Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing
• Contribute to software test plans, procedures, and other relevant technical documentation
• Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution
• Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Advanced proficiency with C++
• Experience with high performance and multi-threaded programming
• Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution
• Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn outside of core discipline
• Experience with hands-on software development and troubleshooting on embedded targets utilizing an RTOS (Real-Time Operating System).
• Working knowledge of signal processing, control systems theory, or networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with key protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, DDS, or SNMP
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Solid presentation and writing skills
• Previous professional experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) or intelligence community.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $97,000-180,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
