Forward Deployed Engineer

Power Staffing Solutions is partnering with a rapidly growing, venture-backed AI technology company to hire Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs).

This opportunity is ideal for software engineers who enjoy building production-ready applications, solving complex technical challenges, and working directly with customers to deploy innovative AI solutions.

You’ll work at the intersection of software engineering, artificial intelligence, and customer-facing technical delivery, taking ownership of solutions from development through deployment., * Design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions tailored to enterprise customer requirements.

• Work directly with customers to understand technical challenges and translate business requirements into functional applications.
• Build and integrate APIs, backend services, and AI-powered applications into existing customer environments.
• Write clean, maintainable, production-quality code and troubleshoot complex engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to deliver successful implementations.
• Take ownership of technical projects from initial discovery through deployment and ongoing optimization.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both engineering teams and nontechnical stakeholders., * Initial recruiter screening and technical background review.
• Live coding assessment conducted without AI assistance or AI-powered coding tools.
• Technical interviews focused on software engineering, problem-solving, and practical implementation.
• Final onsite interviews with the hiring team.

Important: Candidates must be comfortable completing a live coding assessment independently, without the use of AI tools.

Pay: $180,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

• Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Science, or Electrical Engineering.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of professional, hands-on engineering experience following graduation.
• Currently working in an active, hands-on software engineering or related technical role.
• Demonstrated experience writing, testing, debugging, and deploying production-level code.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, problem-solving abilities, and technical proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing applications using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern software architectures.
• Exposure to AI/ML applications, large language models (LLMs), or AI-powered automation.
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications in production environments.
• Previous experience collaborating with enterprise customers or external technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end engineering projects.
