Computer-Aided Design Computer Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application (CATIA) SolidWorks (CAD) Data Integrity Hardware-In-The-Loop Simulation Raw Data Systems Integration Test Execution Engine Strategies of Testing Integration Tests

Job description

Test Environment Enablement: Independently manage and resolve complex issues related to audio development benches and HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) rigs. Ensure benches are accurately provisioned with the latest in-house electronics and vehicle software. Lead the buildout, expansion, and maintenance of the audio lab facilities.

  • Engineering Hardware Support: Support the Electronics and Acoustics leads by performing characterizations of components using Klippel, Audio Precision, Soundcheck, and other test platforms, providing the raw data necessary for design iterations.
  • Mechanical & Fixture Design: Utilize CATIA, NX, Solidworks, or other CAD to design custom test fixtures, acoustic enclosures, and microphone mounting solutions. These designs will support both early prototyping for engineers and repeatable test rigs for the Hardware and QA teams.
  • QA Support & Test Execution: Assist the Audio QA Engineer as needed by executing established test suites on physical hardware. While the QA Engineer defines the test strategy and coverage, you focus on the physical implementation and execution of those tests in the lab.
  • Operational Autonomy: Work with a high degree of independence, requiring little daily instruction. Exercise good judgment in maintaining lab safety, equipment calibration, and data integrity.

Requirements

Experience: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of professional experience in audio systems hardware product development or systems integration.

  • CAD Proficiency: Working knowledge of CATIA, NX, Solidworks or similar for mechanical design of test aids and fixtures. (Preference for CATIA, as this is our in-house tool).
  • Acoustic Tooling: Proficiency with Klippel, SoundCheck, and Audio Precision (APx).
  • Soft Skills: A collaborative ā€œsupport-firstā€ mindset; able to take technical requirements from multiple leads and translate them into physical test setups. Experience preparing and sharing characterization results and participating in detailed design reviews.
