Job description

Wisdom Advisers, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to support process water systems at a leading semiconductor manufacturer’s fab in North Dallas. This is a hands-on engineering role, not a project management seat. The engineer will own the technical side of process cooling water (PCW), DI/UPW, industrial wastewater (IWW), and reclaim and reuse projects: evaluating existing systems, developing designs and scopes of work, preparing bid packages, and carrying the work through construction, commissioning, and closeout., * Review existing engineering information, facility utility data, and project requirements for PCW, DI/UPW, IWW, and reclaim and reuse systems

  • Perform field verifications of existing piping, heat exchangers, pumps, filtration, and mechanical equipment to validate as-built conditions and confirm system capacity
  • Lead capacity versus demand analysis and utility forecasting to support fab growth and tool installation scenarios
  • Develop mechanical and process designs for closed-loop and open-loop PCW systems, heat exchange, filtration, and high-purity water delivery
  • Apply root cause analysis, FMEA, and risk-based reliability methods to system problems and improvement opportunities
  • Use SPC, performance data, and system assessments to identify risk and optimization opportunities
  • Develop scopes of work, specifications, and engineering and construction packages
  • Prepare projects for competitive bidding, coordinate contractor bid packages, and review bids from a technical and scope perspective
  • Support capital and expense projects including system upgrades, expansions, and optimization initiatives
  • Drive standardization of designs, specifications, and execution practices across projects
  • Coordinate with client engineering, operations, maintenance, EHS, procurement, design and construction, and contractors
  • Track scope, schedule, cost, construction activities, and commissioning through closeout, including field changes and final as-built documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with semiconductor process water systems (PCW, DI/UPW, IWW, reclaim and reuse); semiconductor design background required
  • Technical depth in water purification and delivery systems (reverse osmosis, ion exchange, high-purity piping) and industrial wastewater treatment
  • Experience with high-purity and corrosion-resistant piping systems (PVDF, PP, stainless steel)
  • Working experience with root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC, and data-driven system optimization
  • Experience developing scopes of work, specifications, bid packages, and construction documents
  • Contractor and vendor coordination experience in an operating manufacturing facility
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • PE license is a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; this position does not offer visa sponsorship, * Bachelor’s (Required), * Project engineering: 5 years (Required)
