Job description

Design and develop robust and scalable database automation solutions. Advise software engineers on database internals and design solutions. Execute and build automation around database benchmarking. Code database management tooling in PL/SQL and Java. Define specifications for database specific roadmap items. Solutions architecture of database systems for key customers. Perform on call duties, including incident response, troubleshooting, and customer support. Present database best practices at conferences and workshops.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: (1) Deep knowledge and experience designing and maintaining Oracle relational databases; (2) Experience working directly with customers, resolving database, systems and infrastructure-related issues, and providing systems architecture leadership; (3) Working knowledge of relational database internals (locking, consistency, serialization, recovery paths); (4) Working knowledge of at least one scripting language (Shell, Python, or Perl) and a procedural language for at least one database (PL/SQL, T-SQL, or equivalent database); (5) Systems engineering experience, including Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, configuration, security, networking, clusters, and troubleshooting., Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
