Lead Applications Development

This role supports the modernization and reliable operation of Results Online and its critical applications. Using expertise in Java, Oracle, Azure, cloud data platforms, and CI/CD, the position enhances applications, resolves production issues, improves performance and automation, and supports strategic technology initiatives-ensuring accurate, timely deliverables for users.

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Software Development: Design, develop, test, and implement applications that meet business requirements and user needs.
• Application Maintenance: Enhance existing applications, resolve defects, improve performance, increase automation, and maintain compatibility with evolving technologies.
• Requirements Analysis and Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and user stories, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Quality Assurance and Support: Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing. Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing technical, operational, and production support.
• Technical Leadership: Independently lead significant development initiatives, establish technical direction, and coordinate activities across cross-functional teams.
• Project Delivery: Manage development activities, dependencies, and risks to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and within scope.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to development practices, application architecture, scalability, and system performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in application development or software engineering.

Required Technical Skills:

• Expert-level experience with Java, J2EE, Java Servlets, and Apache Tomcat.
• Strong experience with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Advanced proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Apache Ant, and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux and Linux-based environments.

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Experience with Angular and/or React.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Python, Perl, Go, and Node.js.
• Experience with Databricks and Snowflake.

Our Lead Applications Development jobs earn between $143,800.00 - $215,800.00 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
