Job description

At Bcore, our strength comes from how we deliver impact to the mission. Whether it’s architecting critical IT solutions, producing actionable intelligence, or developing cutting edge technology, we succeed because of the expertise, collaboration, and agility of our teams. Our Insight Solutions division delivers intelligence analysis, advanced data science, and strategic decision support. Bcore accelerates decisive advantage for warfighters and intelligence professionals by fusing human insight, rapid-fire engineering, precision-measured outcomes, and relentless grit into mission-ready solutions. Are you ready to lean into analytic approaches that show customers the power of both technical and methodological innovation? Join our growing team supporting customer missions as a Expert Data Scientist in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO. Responsibilities: This is a data engineering role at its core. You will own the backend data architecture for a large geospatial imagery program, building and maintaining the pipelines that move data across security domains, platforms, and systems. The work is hands-on and operational. If you have spent time building data infrastructure in IC or DoD environments and know how to get data moving across domains without breaking things downstream, this role will feel familiar. Note: this is not a research or modeling position. The job is keeping the data infrastructure running and scaling.

  • 4+ years building and maintaining SQL and/or NoSQL databases in cloud environments
  • Proven experience developing, monitoring, and sustaining operational data pipelines across multiple data formats and interfaces
  • Experience using APIs to query systems and move data between platforms
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java for pipeline development
  • Ability to explain technical architecture clearly to both engineers and non-technical government customers, * Experience with government ATO processes and Non-Person Entity (NPE) certificate management
  • Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise)
  • Experience building visualizations to monitor pipeline health, data availability, and volumetrics
