Senior Business Analyst - Digital Platforms & AI

At Sword Iberia, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join an international public health project, supporting the development of a platform for discovering, comparing and sharing analytical tools, data and resources.

Key responsibilities:

• Gather and analyse requirements through interviews, workshops and engagement with users and technical teams.
• Define user stories, workflows, business rules and acceptance criteria.
• Develop classification, metadata and lifecycle models for published resources.
• Specify requirements for AI-assisted search and discovery, including human review processes and quality criteria.
• Manage the backlog, coordinate sprints and support delivery alongside developers and UX/UI designers.
• Contribute to wireframes, user validation and acceptance testing.

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager delivering software products.
• Direct experience with marketplaces, repositories, data catalogs, registries or similar discovery platforms, with responsibility for how content is classified, described, published or found.
• Experience managing backlogs and defining sprints alongside engineering teams.
• Experience defining requirements or acceptance criteria for AI or machine learning features.
• Familiarity with APIs, data models, Git-based workflows and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or Confluence.
• A university degree in a relevant field.
• Excellent spoken and written English and strong stakeholder communication skills.

Experience with open-source ecosystems, research, public health or international communities would be an advantage.

Working arrangements: Remote, with significant overlap with Central European working hours and potential occasional travel.
