Job description

VE3 is recruiting an Information Architect to define how complex organisational information is described, related, governed and found. Develop conceptual and logical information models, entity relationships and a maintainable metadata schema.

  • Discovery and reuse. Structure information about activities, assets, datasets, tools, ownership and expertise for search and navigation.

  • Governance. Define stewardship, ownership, provenance, information lifecycle, update responsibilities and reuse conditions.

  • Data onboarding. Work with data engineers to specify field mappings, validation rules, completeness measures and exception handling.

  • Stakeholder alignment. Facilitate discovery workshops, reconcile competing definitions and secure approval for the information model.

  • Understanding of information governance, stewardship, provenance, security classification and access implications.

  • Experience documenting conceptual/logical models, data dictionaries, metadata specifications and governance rules.

  • Strong workshop facilitation, requirements analysis, stakeholder negotiation and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work with data and technical teams to turn a framework into usable validation and discovery capabilities.

Desirable experience:

  • Experience with information assurance, data-quality measures and operational stewardship models.

Expected contribution: An agreed, version-controlled metadata framework; documented entities, relationships and ownership rules; onboarding validation criteria; and practical stewardship guidance.
