Their next generation of products push the boundaries of audio clarity, loudness and reliability in the harshest environments and they’re looking for an experienced Audio Engineer to lead the charge.

You’ll take ownership of the entire audio path - from microphones and speakers through to DSP and embedded integration.

Expect to: Design and optimise the complete acoustic system, including enclosures, vents, ports and seals, to achieve exceptional intelligibility and loudness. Implement and tune DSP algorithms (AEC, AGC, EQ, compression, noise suppression) on embedded platforms Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, mechanical and software engineers to integrate audio seamlessly into ruggedised handhelds. Troubleshoot and refine acoustic performance throughout prototype, validation and production stages. Continuously evolve design tools, test methods and processes to push audio performance even further.

Requirements

Degree in Acoustics, Audio Engineering, Electronics or related discipline. 5+ years’ experience developing audio systems for handheld or consumer devices Deep understanding of microphones, loudspeakers and acoustic system design. Hands-on experience with acoustic test equipment (Audio Precision, HATS) and simulation tools (COMSOL / FEA). Proficiency in DSP concepts and tuning, ideally with MATLAB, Python or C/C++.

Benefits & conditions
