IT Project Manager

• Experience with a Texas State Agency or Texas municipal government agency, or Texas City government

Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Experience managing technical or software implementation projects, including independently planning, coordinating, and delivering complex technology initiatives involving cross-functional technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, or executives. 5 Required Experience managing enterprise software deployments or technology implementations, including cloud solutions, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity implementations, system integrations, or other technology transformation initiatives. 5 Required Experience developing and managing project charters, implementation plans, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and deployment readiness activities. 5 Required Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and working with vendors or implementation partners to manage deliverables, dependencies, implementation activities, and issue resolution. 3 Required Experience preparing executive-level project reporting, including project status reports, dashboards, milestone summaries, risk assessments, and decision-support materials. 3 Required Experience applying knowledge of software development lifecycles, infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity technologies, or enterprise IT environments to coordinate technical project workstreams. 3 Preferred Experience working within state government, municipal government, or other public-sector technology organizations 3 Preferred Experience managing cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, enterprise software implementation, cybersecurity technology, or other technology modernization initiatives. 2 Preferred Experience coordinating software deployments, production releases, implementation readiness, or post-implementation stabilization activities. 2 Preferred Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery environments. 2 Preferred Experience working with enterprise technology governance, project governance, portfolio management, or technology selection and prioritization processes. 1 Preferred Preferred certification - Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or comparable certification from a recognized project management organization.
