Job description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Network Engineer to join the Corporate Technology Operations Platform Front Line team, responsible for delivering high-quality production support for Network Infrastructure across the bank. This role focuses on ensuring rapid and consistent recovery from production incidents across multiple database platforms, minimizing downtime, and maintaining system stability and availability.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide technical support to end users regarding hardware and application issues
  • Provide 12-hour, 7-day rotational production as part of the Platform Frontline team coverage schedule
  • Troubleshoot networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems
  • Integrate, maintain, and consolidate network services including but not limited to switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks and network security
  • Follow documented resolution procedures, identify and escalate gaps in the Knowledge Base articles
  • Maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures, including change management and ticket updates
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, Employees support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education, * Knowledge and understanding of network engineering configurating enterprise level routers and switches in a voice network infrastructure environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology support: operational support for network infrastructure (switches or routers)
  • Cisco Certifications (CCNA/CCNP)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and SIP networks
