Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain security solutions to safeguard sensitive data and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with other IT and security teams to assess risks, develop security strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of information security principles, a keen eye for potential vulnerabilities, and a commitment to keeping systems secure against evolving threats. • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analysis
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches

DEGREE (Focus)

Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Digital Forensics, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, ect., General comment on degrees: Most contracts allow additional experience (4-5 years) in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree. Some contracts give 4-5 years experience credit for a Bachelor’s Degree. Some contracts give 2 years experience credit for a Master’s Degree. We will work with you to find the right fit., * Proficiency in security tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems)

• Strong understanding of encryption technologies
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA)
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) practices
• Expertise in threat detection and mitigation strategies, * Experience with cloud security models (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of network security protocols and architecture
• Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools
• Proficiency in security automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Understanding of secure software development practices
• Experience with risk management frameworks and security audits
