Job description

The Data Engineer II develops and maintains analytic products including reports and data models to ensure success of key strategic initiatives. They present information through visualizations. Responsibilities include the design, planning, building, configuration and deployment of BI enterprise solutions. They will also be involved in the debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting of existing BI solutions. They have an in depth understanding of database management systems like ETL framework. They are flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary. As a level II this individual will be advanced in their craft, being responsible for contributing to design and analysis. They will explore new tools and technologies and lead unit testing efforts. Experience, combined with excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, enables them to solve difficult issues. This individual has proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative and only requires general supervision. Being a highly effective communicator and collaborator is paramount to this role. The individual will work with many different people of varying technical backgrounds.

Requirements

Do you have experience in XML?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Expert with SQL Knowledge of SSRS, SSIS, SSMS, SSAS Excellent analytical and problem solving skills for data gathering and fact finding Technical writing skills Flexible and adaptable to new technologies Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI, Tableau) Understanding of relational database principles Understanding of multi-dimensional analysis and designs Knowledge and experience with HL7, XML, JSON desirable Demonstrated business and clinical knowledge with experience in healthcare desirable Positively supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment

  • High School Diploma Graduate or Equivalent

Nonessential:

  • Bachelors of Science or Arts in Information Technology or 2 Years Staff Level
