Engagement Manager, Accounting Platform

Careerscape is hiring an Engagement Manager on behalf of a large, well-funded AI company that is launching a new set of back-office accounting products for enterprise customers.

This is a forward-deployed accounting role. You’ll work directly with CFOs, controllers and finance teams to scope, configure and launch accounting and ERP workflows (general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and payments), both before and after the sale. It’s hands-on, client-facing work at startup speed, on a new product line with a lot of room to shape how it’s delivered., * Lead discovery with CFOs, controllers and finance teams to scope their accounting workflows

• Configure and launch GL, AP, AR, payroll and payments workflows on the platform and connected ERP systems
• Support the sales process as the accounting expert in pre-sale conversations
• Own implementations through go-live and the first months after launch
• Explain complex accounting and systems topics clearly to senior finance stakeholders
• Bring customer feedback back to product to shape the roadmap

Accounting, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Accounting, Sales, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Head of Finance, General Ledger Accounting, Customer Relations, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, * 3 to 5 years in ERP or accounting software implementation, or finance transformation (Big 4, a consulting firm, or an accounting or ERP software company)

• Hands-on ERP configuration experience (NetSuite, Oracle, Workday or similar)
• Solid month-end close, reconciliation, accrual, AP and AR knowledge
• Comfortable presenting to and advising senior finance leaders
• A degree in accounting or finance
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, New York City (U.S. or Canada candidates; visa sponsorship available)
• Nice to have: CPA

Compensation: $160,000 to $200,000 base salary, plus equity. The team is hiring five Engagement Managers.

Location: on-site in New York City, 4 to 5 days a week. A relocation package is offered, and visa sponsorship is available., * $160,000 to $200,000 base salary
