Senior Data Reporting Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Reporting Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable reporting and analytics systems that transform complex data into actionable business insights. This role is ideal for someone with strong data engineering expertise and proven experience building reliable reporting platforms, data pipelines, semantic layers, and self-service analytics solutions. The successful candidate will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to develop enterprise reporting capabilities that meet client contractual obligations and improve decision-making, operational efficiency, and data accessibility across the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting and analytics data solutions.
• Build and manage robust ETL/ELT pipelines that integrate data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Develop and maintain data models, data marts, and reporting layers optimized for business intelligence and analytics.
• Create automated processes to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support enterprise reporting platforms, dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting.
• Optimize data architecture, query performance, and reporting system scalability.
• Design and maintain metadata, documentation, and data lineage processes.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting processes for production data systems.
• Partner with data analysts, BI developers, and application teams to establish reporting best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and approaches to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in data engineering, reporting engineering, or business intelligence development.
• Proven experience building and supporting enterprise reporting systems and data platforms.
• Strong expertise in SQL and relational database design.
• Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure.
• Proficiency with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and security practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
