Java Integration Engineer (Spring Boot, IES) - 8+ Yrs Exp

1. Design, develop, and implement technology solutions that ensure seamless integration of applications, data, and interfaces.
2. Work as part of a team to solve complex business issues, from strategy to execution.
3. Design, develop, and enhance client-facing and internal applications, contribute to application architecture and technology solutions, and deliver technology tools supporting NYS strategic initiatives.
4. Apply enterprise architecture standards and design principles to develop scalable applications aligned with NYS business and technical requirements.
5. Use multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder views, to develop solutions and recommendations.
6. Provide application support throughout the application lifecycle by resolving defects and implementing enhancements.
7. Participate in post-implementation incident resolution, as required.
8. Translate business requirements and use cases into enterprise applications and perform unit testing.
9. Work with technical leads and architects to transform high-level and low-level system designs into technical components.
10. Develop applications based on technical requirements, design principles, architecture principles, and standards.
11. Build reusable code and libraries for platforms and shared services.
12. Produce work products and applications that ensure system design and delivery align with business needs and project plans.
13. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience working on complex projects, with at least 2 years in a leadership role as a System Integration Engineer.
• Experience in software development of enterprise-level applications using JEE, JMS, WebServices, and ORM technologies such as JPA/Hibernate, including at least 2 years supporting an Integrated Eligibility System (IES) program within a Health and Human Services environment.
• Experience developing applications using Spring APIs and frameworks, including Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, and Spring REST.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience implementing automated unit testing frameworks and developing applications using complex SQL queries against Oracle or MS SQL Server databases.
• Experience developing Microservices-based applications and using CI/CD, source control, and build tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Artifactory/Nexus.
• Experience developing web applications using JSON/Angular.JS and MongoDB.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud), enterprise security (Okta, SSO, Active Directory), distributed technologies (Kafka, MuleSoft, Redis), and container platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift.
