Job description
Client seeking a Java Developer in Sunrise, FL. Join the team migrating Oracle DB business rule logic into a new CIS environment. The position involves back-end microservice development to support enterprise portal functionality., * Develop Java 11 microservices using Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, Security, Batch, and Transaction Management
- Design and maintain REST and SOAP APIs with JSON/XML payloads
- Implement Oracle database rule logic and SQL within service layers
- Integrate OAuth tokens for secure communication
- Deploy and maintain services on application servers (JBoss, Tomcat) in cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
- Utilize build tools (Maven), CI/CD (Jenkins), version control, and bug tracking (JIRA)
- Follow Agile development practices and participate in iterative sprint cycles
Requirements
- 3+ years of Java software development experience, especially backend and integration services
- Proficiency in Java 11, Spring Boot, Spring ecosystem, REST/SOAP
- Strong SQL skills and experience embedding DB logic into code
- Familiarity with OAuth, JSON, XML
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), build tools (Maven), version control (Git), and IDEs (IntelliJ or Eclipse)
- Prior exposure to cloud platforms and SOA environments is beneficial
