SAP Solution Architect and Delivery Leader

Innova Software Services Inc. is seeking a highly experienced SAP Solution Architect and Delivery Leader to provide independent architecture oversight, technical delivery assurance, and enterprise integration leadership for a complex SAP transformation initiative.

The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP ECC, enterprise integrations, master data management, security, and solution architecture.

This role requires a senior technical leader capable of evaluating solution designs, challenging implementation assumptions, validating delivery quality, and coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams while collaborating closely with executive stakeholders.

The position is fully onsite in Marlborough, Massachusetts., * Own end-to-end architecture oversight across SAP BTP, SAP ECC, enterprise integrations, security, and data flows.

• Review proposed solution architectures, configurations, customizations, and technical designs.
• Evaluate architecture alternatives, design tradeoffs, scalability, maintainability, and integration dependencies.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and established technical standards.
• Identify architectural gaps and recommend practical improvements.

System Integrator and Delivery Oversight

• Independently review system integrator delivery plans, estimates, milestones, staffing, and technical dependencies.
• Assess solution delivery against agreed scope and architectural requirements.
• Evaluate technical resource capabilities and delivery readiness.
• Challenge design decisions and implementation assumptions where appropriate.
• Support accountable, transparent technical delivery without assuming day-to-day project management ownership.

SAP Platform and Technical Team Alignment

• Collaborate with SAP BTP, SAP Basis, Security, Integration, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
• Resolve technical dependencies and coordination gaps across platform teams.
• Validate proposed integration approaches and infrastructure requirements.
• Provide independent technical checks and architectural recommendations.
• Ensure alignment across enterprise platforms and application teams.

Technical Deliverable Quality and Acceptance

• Review functional specifications, technical specifications, non-functional requirements, interface designs, and mapping documentation.
• Evaluate deliverable completeness, quality, compliance, and technical feasibility.
• Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Support technical acceptance reviews with authorized stakeholders.
• Maintain architectural consistency across implementation workstreams.

Business and Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product, Business, Engineering, and PMO teams.
• Support integration and architecture alignment for vendor onboarding, business partner management, article management, and cost management processes.
• Identify and resolve technical interdependencies.
• Translate business objectives into architecture and delivery considerations.

Risk Management and Executive Communication

• Identify technical, integration, security, vendor, and delivery risks.
• Assess mitigation plans and recommend corrective actions.
• Communicate significant risks, architectural decisions, and delivery concerns to senior leadership.
• Participate in governance forums and executive-level technical reviews.

Testing, Deployment and Operational Readiness

• Oversee technical readiness for System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Review cutover planning, go-live readiness, and hypercare arrangements.
• Validate critical defect resolution, production security, and supportability.
• Ensure appropriate knowledge transfer and operational handover.
• Assess readiness for production deployment and ongoing support.

Architecture and Delivery Governance

• Evaluate scope changes and technical change requests.
• Distinguish existing scope clarifications from additional capabilities.
• Recommend appropriate technical and delivery governance decisions.
• Support consistent architecture and implementation standards., Interested candidates should submit an updated resume highlighting SAP BTP, SAP ECC, enterprise integrations, solution architecture, system integrator oversight, and relevant retail transformation experience.

SAP, SAP, Technical Delivery, Leadership, SAP ECC (fka SAP R/3 and SAP ERP), Master Data Management (MDM), Security Architecture, Enterprise Data Integration, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Technical Leadership, * 12+ years of relevant experience in SAP solution architecture, enterprise technology delivery, or related technical leadership roles.

• Strong expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Experience with SAP ECC architecture and enterprise integration.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, master data management, security, and integration patterns.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing complex SAP solution designs and technical deliverables.
• Experience overseeing system integrators or third-party technology delivery partners.
• Ability to independently assess delivery plans, technical risks, dependencies, and implementation quality.
• Experience coordinating SAP Basis, Security, Integration, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams.
• Strong understanding of SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare processes.
• Excellent executive stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Marlborough, Massachusetts., * Experience delivering SAP solutions in retail environments.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP-based enterprise applications and integration technologies.
• Experience with master data, vendor onboarding, business partner management, article management, or cost management processes.
• Experience supporting large enterprise SAP transformation programs.
• Strong background in technical governance, system integrator oversight, and delivery assurance.
• Experience reviewing solution architecture and technical documentation across multiple workstreams.
