Senior Manager - Full Stack Development

Lead the engineering practice across multiple teams delivering highly available distributed systems on AWS and Kubernetes platforms. This senior leadership role sets technical direction, engineering standards, AI-assisted development governance, and delivery strategy while building engineering capability, managing program risk, and partnering with client and internal executives at the account or program level.

12-18 years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in senior engineering leadership, with recent hands-on technical work. Ability to spend approximately 40-50% of the role on coding, design, debugging and production problem-solving, with the remainder on technology and team leadership. Strong hands-on Python proficiency and working proficiency in Node.js. Deep AWS architecture experience, including EKS; experience operating OpenShift workloads; and infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible. Strong distributed-systems expertise, including consistency, fault tolerance, service mesh, Kafka/SQS/SNS messaging and data partitioning. Experience leading multiple engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, workforce planning, delivery, risk and executive communication. Practical AI-assisted development and LLM integration experience, including APIs, RAG, embeddings and agentic workflows, with controls for validation, code security, data leakage and sensitive health-plan/PHI data., U.S. health insurance/payer experience across claims, enrollment, benefits and provider networks, with HIPAA-aware system design. Experience applying HL7, FHIR or X12 EDI in large-scale healthcare programs. Senior delivery or account leadership in client-facing consulting or professional services. Contributions to business development, RFP responses or solution design for new and expanding client engagements. Hands-on Go/Golang experience in production services.
