Data Architect - Cloud, Data Vault & Lakehouse

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect - Data Platform to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of modern enterprise data ecosystems. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Medallion Architecture, Data Vault 2.0, Cloud Security, Enterprise Data Modeling, and Data Governance.

This role will serve as the architectural authority across strategic data initiatives, partnering with business stakeholders, engineering teams, governance organizations, and executive leadership to drive enterprise-wide data transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture Leadership

• Define and implement enterprise-scale Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
• Architect scalable lakehouse and modern data platform solutions
• Design high-performance data pipelines and enterprise data ecosystems
• Establish architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices

Cloud Architecture & Security

• Design secure data solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Implement enterprise security controls and governance frameworks
• Define and enforce:
• RBAC (Role-Based Access Control)
• Data Encryption (at-rest and in-transit)
• Zero Trust principles
• Secure data-sharing frameworks
• Partner with Information Security teams on cloud security posture

Data Vault & Data Modeling

• Lead enterprise implementation of Data Vault 2.0
• Design:
• Hubs
• Links
• Satellites
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Design dimensional models including star and snowflake schemas
• Establish enterprise data modeling standards

Data Exposure & Consumption Strategy

• Design scalable and governed data access frameworks
• Enable:
• APIs
• Data Sharing Platforms
• Semantic Layers
• BI Integrations
• Drive:
• Data Democratization
• Metadata Management
• Data Lineage
• Data Observability
• Ensure performance and SLA adherence for downstream consumers

Governance & Data Quality

• Embed governance into architecture design
• Implement data quality monitoring frameworks
• Define metadata catalog and governance strategies
• Support compliance and regulatory requirements

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Engage business and executive stakeholders
• Provide architectural oversight across programs
• Mentor engineering and architecture teams
• Manage vendor and system integrator alignment

• 12+ years of Data Architecture or Enterprise Data Engineering experience
• Deep expertise in:
