Junior Java Software Engineer [$226k/yr+]

• Design, develop, and implement complex Java-based software capabilities, APIs, and microservices within Linux and cloud environments.
• Build, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Kubernetes tooling and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with distributed NoSQL databases and full-text search engines to deliver robust technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship within an Agile team setting., * Develop high-performance Java applications utilizing modern libraries and frameworks such as Spring and Guava.
• Architect and deploy scalable microservices and RESTful enterprise APIs.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes deployments using tools including Helm and Flux.
• Write automation for CI/CD pipelines and manage code repositories using Git, GitLab, Maven, and Nexus.
• Interface with distributed databases, full-text search engines, and NoSQL systems such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and test software solutions in Linux and cloud environments.
• Collaborate within an Agile development lifecycle using tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Transition seamlessly between hands-on feature execution and technical mentorship for fellow engineers.

Telework: This position supports a hybrid work arrangement requiring an average of two days per week on-site in San Antonio, Texas.
