Forward Deployed Software Engineer - AI

This is a highly technical, customer-facing engineering role for a software engineer who enjoys solving real-world business problems through hands-on product development and AI implementation.

You will work directly with enterprise customers to understand their technical requirements, design customized solutions, build integrations, and deploy production-ready AI-powered applications. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and sales teams to take projects from initial discovery and prototype through production deployment., * Own technical projects from initial customer discovery and prototyping through production deployment.

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and JavaScript.
• Develop and implement enterprise integrations with CRM systems, ERP platforms, scheduling software, and other business applications.
• Work directly with enterprise customers to understand business challenges and translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams on technical discovery, solution design, prototypes, demonstrations, and implementation planning.
• Build and optimize AI-powered solutions using Voice AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and prompt engineering.
• Develop APIs, backend services, and cloud-based applications that support reliable enterprise workflows.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, resolve implementation blockers, and communicate project progress and risks.
• Create reusable engineering tools, integrations, and development patterns.
• Translate customer feedback and real-world implementation challenges into product and engineering improvements.
• Take ownership of technical execution while balancing customer requirements, product quality, and delivery timelines., * Customer Impact: Solve real business challenges by building and deploying practical AI solutions.

Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Automation, Customer Relations, Product Development, Prototyping, Sales, Technical/Engineering Design, The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack engineering capabilities with excellent communication skills, customer-facing experience, and a genuine interest in Voice AI, LLMs, and intelligent automation., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade software applications.
• Experience developing APIs, third-party integrations, and cloud-based applications.
• Understanding of distributed systems, backend architecture, and scalable software development.
• Previous customer-facing technical experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.
• Ability to understand complex customer requirements and independently develop technical solutions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project ownership and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week in Redwood City, California.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Voice AI, conversational AI, generative AI, or Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience developing AI agents and AI-powered automation workflows.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and integrating LLM capabilities into production applications.
• Experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms.
• Background working at a high-growth technology startup or early-stage company.
• Experience taking products or technical solutions from concept to production (0-to-1 development).
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers and cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong understanding of modern AI application development and enterprise software integrations.

• Full-time, on-site position in Redwood City, California.
• Five days per week in the office.
• Requires direct collaboration with enterprise customers and internal engineering teams.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Salary: $215,000-$290,000.
• Visa support may be available for qualified candidates, including eligible H-1B transfers and TN visa candidates.
