Oracle Fusion HCM & Payroll Data Migration Lead

• Lead the end-to-end Oracle Fusion HCM/Payroll data migration workstream across mock migrations, testing cycles, cutover rehearsals and production deployment.
• Work with customer data teams to define Legacy data extraction requirements, including required fields, selection criteria, historical data and effective-dating rules.
• Analyse Legacy data extracts, identify data quality issues and provide clear recommendations for correction.
• Develop and maintain detailed field-level and value-level mapping documents between Legacy systems and Oracle Fusion.
• Prepare, cleanse and transform migration data using SQL, Excel and other suitable data-processing tools.
• Create, execute and manage Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL) files and where applicable, HSDL.
• Troubleshoot load failures, investigate root causes, correct data and perform reloads.
• Develop and execute reconciliation reports comparing source data, migration files and successfully loaded Fusion data.
• Use SQL, BI Publisher and OTBI to validate migrated data, investigate discrepancies and provide supporting evidence for business sign-off.
• Work closely with HCM and Payroll functional consultants, customer stakeholders, technical teams and business users.
• Manage migration plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, defects and delivery reporting.
• Support cutover planning, final data loads, migration closure and transition activities.

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion HCM & Payroll Data Migration Lead to support a major Oracle Fusion implementation programme.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can take ownership of the end-to-end data migration lifecycle, from understanding Legacy data and defining extraction requirements through to data mapping, transformation, Fusion loading, reconciliation and business sign-off.

The successful candidate must be comfortable leading migration activities while personally undertaking technical tasks, including preparing migration files, executing HDL loads, troubleshooting errors and validating migrated data., * Proven experience leading data migration workstreams within Oracle Fusion HCM and/or Payroll implementation programmes.

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL), including file preparation, load execution, error analysis and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Oracle Fusion HCM data structures, effective-dated records and dependencies between migration objects.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, transformation, validation and reconciliation. PL/SQL experience is advantageous.
• Practical experience with BI Publisher and OTBI for reporting and post-load validation.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data cleansing and large-volume data analysis.
• Experience creating data mapping documents, transformation rules, validation checks and reconciliation outputs.
• Experience working directly with customer source-data teams to define and validate Legacy extraction requirements.
• Experience managing multiple migration cycles, from initial mapping and mock loads through to cutover and production migration.
• Ability to communicate technical data issues and recommended solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

HCM & Payroll Data Experience

Candidates should have experience working with a range of Oracle Fusion HCM/Payroll data objects, potentially including:

• Enterprise structures - legal employers, business units, departments, jobs, grades, locations and positions.
• Worker, person, employment, work relationship and assignment history.
• Manager and organisational relationships.
• Payroll relationships, payroll assignments, elements, element entries, payment methods, bank details and payroll balances.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with UK Oracle Fusion Payroll implementations and payroll data migration.
• Experience migrating data from ResourceLink or other enterprise HR/payroll platforms.
• Knowledge of FBDI, REST/SOAP interfaces, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or Fusion integration patterns.
• Experience with ETL tools, migration accelerators, Scripting or automation for high-volume data processing.
• Understanding of Oracle Fusion security and scheduled processes.
• Familiarity with Jira, SpiraTest or similar defect-management tools.
