Solution Architect- Delivery

(DCSA) has responsibility for operations and maintenance of nine applications supporting the Background Investigation Enterprise Systems (BIES). The program supports modernization efforts by migrating systems to a secure cloud environment and modernizing software that captures, processes, and retains background investigation information for personnel seeking access to sensitive information Task Description: The Solution Architect will support enterprise modernization and cloud transformation initiatives, providing technical leadership for the design, development, and implementation of secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. The individual will work under the direction of the Chief Architect to develop target-state architectures, support application modernization efforts, leverage AI-enabled code conversion capabilities, and guide development teams through all phases of the software development lifecycle.

The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud architecture, system integration, DevSecOps, data migration, and hybrid multi-cloud environments. This role requires a self-motivated professional capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams, program leadership, and customer stakeholder, * Minimum 10 years of experience as a Solution Architect

• Minimum 1 year of experience supporting AI-enabled code conversion or modernization initiatives
• Experience designing enterprise solutions using open architecture principles and modular design approaches
• Experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience migrating applications and data from on-premises environments to cloud platforms
• Experience supporting hybrid and multi-cloud architectures and operating models
• Experience implementing DevSecOps methodologies, pipelines, and automation practices
• Experience developing architecture artifacts, technical designs, sizing analyses, and operational documentation
• Experience providing technical leadership and guidance to development and engineering teams
• Experience evaluating emerging technologies and integrating third-party applications

Nice to have skills:

• Security+ certification.
• Experience with IBM Consulting Advantage preferred
• AWS Certification
• Experience supporting Federal Government programs
• Experience with large-scale application modernization initiatives
• Experience leading architecture reviews and technical governance activities
• Experience supporting secure cloud environments and zero trust architectures, * Security+ certification within two months preferred/required by project guidance.
