Job description
- The Applications Programmer Sr will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide expert level knowledge of sustainment life cycle management activities for programs and project operations.
- Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts.
- Develops block diagrams and logic flowcharts.
- Translates detailed design into computer software.
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and refines the computersoftware to produce the required product.
- Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
- Enhances software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency.
- Provides technical direction to programmers, as required, to ensure that program deadlines are met.
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
- Must have the ability to communicate accurate information
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software engineering?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related field with ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Expert experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations.
- Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) to support Low-Code/No-Code Development Platform models.
- Experience using low-code/no-code business process modeling notation (BPMN) tools.
- Experience developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models.
- Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development.
- Experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBMS, knowledge of computer equipment, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives.
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) at time of proposal submission, Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
