You’ll document what you did clearly enough that the next person can pick it up., * Work escalated tickets from Tier 1: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and networking

  • Visit client sites to install, troubleshoot, or replace workstations, servers, switches, firewalls, and wireless
  • Help plan and carry out deployments and migrations (new servers, M365 moves, firewall replacements, Intune rollouts)
  • Support specialized line-of-business software on client workstations (engineering and design tools for some clients)
  • Write clear ticket notes and update documentation in IT Glue as you go
  • Explain what happened and what you did to clients in plain , in person and in writing, * This role includes regular travel to client sites in a company vehicle. A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets our auto insurance requirements are required.

  • Offers are contingent on a background check and driving record review, completed after a conditional offer and in line with applicable law.

Why RES

  • A focused role on a growing team, where your work is seen and matters
  • Real variety: servers, networks, cloud, and specialized client software, across multiple environments
  • Clients who stay with us and refer others
  • Room to grow into senior engineering or project work as we do

Requirements

The technical requirements are below, but the person matters more than the list. We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Eager to serve and help out, with clients and with teammates
  • Solutions-oriented: finds the root cause and a way forward instead of a workaround
  • A good teammate who communicates, pitches in, and disagrees professionally
  • Able to help us innovate and make things better, not just keep them running
  • Open to feedback, and willing to give it
  • Able to grow, and interested in doing so
  • Willing to take ownership and responsibility, including for mistakes, * Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy
  • Microsoft 365 administration: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID
  • Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls
  • Clear written documentation and ticket notes
  • Professional presence on site: calm under pressure, honest when delivering bad news, well put together in a client’s office
  • A self-learning habit: a home lab, a cert you’re working on, a platform you taught yourself

  • MSP experience, especially supporting several clients at once
  • Fortinet, SonicWall, Ubiquiti/UniFi, or Meraki
  • Hyper-V or VMware
  • Azure (virtual machines, virtual networking, or hybrid )
  • Intune and conditional access
  • Experience supporting Bentley MicroStation, Autodesk, Trimble, or Pix4D
  • Experience with a PSA/RMM stack (Autotask, Datto RMM) and IT Glue

We don’t require a degree or a set number of years of experience. We care about what you’ve done yourself, how you did it, and what happened.

About the company

Redd E-Systems is a managed IT services provider in Winder, GA. We support small and medium businesses across northeast Georgia in a range of industries: engineering and surveying, ecommerce, software development, professional services, and more. Some of them run specialized software like Bentley MicroStation, Autodesk, Trimble, and Pix4D. We grew entirely through referrals. We do our technical work in house, we run every client on a zero-trust, least-privilege model, and we focus on keeping systems healthy before they break instead of fixing them after.

Our techs represent RES in client offices every week. We also put AI to work in how we run the business, and we help our clients do the same. You’ll have modern tools in your hands from day one, and we expect you to use them to do better work, not just faster work. That’s why we hire for judgment, service, and the ability to learn, not for a memorized list of tools., Apply through ZipRecruiter with your resume. The application includes three optional questions where you can tell us:

  • Something you fixed or built yourself in the last year that you’re proud of, and what made it hard
  • A time you had to deliver bad news to a client or user, and how you handled it
  • Something you taught yourself recently
