Job description

We are seeking an experienced WebMethods Integration Developer to design, develop, and implement enterprise integrations and APIs supporting large-scale capital and digital initiatives. This role will focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance integration solutions across enterprise platforms., API Development

  • Design and develop RESTful and SOAP APIs to integrate enterprise systems such as GIS, ERP, asset management, project controls, and document management platforms
  • Ensure data exchange using standardized formats (JSON, XML)
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, etc.)
  • Create and maintain API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger
  • Manage API versioning, ensuring backward compatibility and clear deprecation strategies

Integrations & Interoperability

  • Analyze systems to identify optimal integration points
  • Develop middleware and connectors for seamless integration across legacy, cloud, and third-party systems
  • Design event-driven and asynchronous integrations where applicable (webhooks, messaging)
  • Implement error handling, logging, monitoring, and transaction management

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure all solutions comply with organizational cybersecurity policies and industry standards (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls)
  • Implement encryption (in transit and at rest) and secure API gateways
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and maintain audit trails for integrations

Scalability & Performance

  • Design highly available, scalable, and resilient integration solutions
  • Define and monitor performance benchmarks (TPS, latency, etc.)

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and execute test plans including unit, integration, system, and UAT testing
  • Support automated regression testing for ongoing stability

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation aligned with organizational standards
  • Provide knowledge transfer and support to internal teams
  • Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and project teams to deliver integration solutions

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * Minimum 5 years of experience with the webMethods integration platform

  • At least 2 years of experience with webMethods.io / webMethods Cloud Integration (SaaS)
  • Proven experience with SAP RFC integrations
  • Strong Java development experience for custom integration services
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Integration Server
  • Universal Messaging
  • API Gateway
  • webMethods Test Suite
  • EDI/Trading Networks (TN)
  • Experience designing and building enterprise-grade APIs and integrations, * Certifications in integration platforms or APIs (e.g., Software AG webMethods, MuleSoft, AWS, Azure, PMP)
  • Experience in public sector, utilities, or energy industry environments
  • Knowledge of secure software development and identity/access management
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and middleware design, * WebMethods Integration Platform
