Firmware Engineer

• Analyzes test results for accuracy and compliance.
• Finds root causes of problems and recognizes recurring issues; resolves or contributes to the resolution process.
• Coordinates efforts with firmware engineers to ensure testability is addressed during the design lifecycle.
• Logs bugs/issues with appropriate detail.
• Learns the nuances of test lab setup and supports the company in generating accurate and usable profiles/data collection to aid in product development (training will be provided).
• Ability to ramp up quickly to learn new tools that are essential for data gathering.
• Be prepared to execute the documented test plan, review ahead of time, and clarify any questions that may otherwise impede progress.

Other Details:

• Candidates must be willing to work mainly in Aurora, IL, and occasionally in a test lab offsite in Arlington Heights, IL. They must also be able to work either first shift and occasionally second, as testing needs dictate. There may be some remote work involved after the incumbent settles in.
