IT WMS Subject Matter Expert

We are seeking a highly experienced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to drive the strategy, implementation, and optimization of warehouse technology across our global distribution network. This is a unique opportunity for a technology and supply chain leader to influence business transformation, accelerate operational excellence, and shape the future of our warehouse operations on a global scale.

In this role, you will partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and IT leadership to design and deploy scalable WMS solutions that improve inventory accuracy, enhance productivity, enable automation, and support continued business growth. You will serve as the organization’s trusted advisor for warehouse technologies, helping establish best practices and a long-term digital roadmap across multiple regions., * Oversee end-to-end WMS implementations across multiple global distribution centers, encompassing design, configuration, testing, and deployment.

• Serve as the functional and technical SME for leading WMS platforms such as Manhattan, SAP EWM (Embedded and Decentralized), Blue Yonder, and similar solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable system solutions.
• Drive standardization of warehouse processes, system architecture, and integration patterns across regions.
• Coordinate with ERP, TMS, and automation systems such as robotics, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and conveyors to ensure seamless integration.
• Direct vendor selection, solution evaluation, and system roadmap planning.
• Provide strategic input on warehouse optimization, including inventory accuracy, picking strategies, labor management, and throughput improvements.
• Prepare and present executive-level presentations, business cases, and implementation roadmaps.
• Ensure strong governance, documentation, and compliance with IT standards and cybersecurity policies.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to internal teams and external partners throughout project lifecycles.

Business Transformation, Warehousing, Supply Chain, Technical Leadership, Automation, Best Practices, Business Growth, Supply Chain Operations, Business Support, Testing, + Experience with SAP S/4HANA and its integration with Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) is REQUIRED.

• Knowledge of warehouse automation technologies and familiarity with Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Familiarity with data analytics and key performance indicator (KPI)-driven warehouse optimization.
• Experience in manufacturing or high-volume distribution environment
• Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound processes, cross-docking, inventory management, and automation integration.
• Experience working in complex, multi-site, global organizations.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels, including executive leadership

Project & Delivery Experience:

• Comprehensive understanding of project delivery methodologies, including Agile, Kanban, and hybrid models.
• Experience in leading large-scale transformation programs and managing system integrators.
• Ability to balance strategic planning responsibilities with hands-on execution.

• Proven track record of implementing WMS solutions across multiple distribution centers globally.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with one or more leading platforms, including Manhattan Associates, SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Blue Yonder (formerly JDA), or equivalent.
