UNCOMN is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer 4 (Senior) to:

  • Support security and compliance implementation across cloud, application, and data modernization workstreams.
  • Help align delivery practices to NIST, FISMA, or related control expectations through practical engineering support.
  • Contribute to vulnerability management, encryption implementation, access controls, audit evidence, and remediation tracking.
  • Work with delivery teams to identify control gaps, improve security posture, and support compliant implementation patterns.
  • Assist with security documentation, validation activities, and readiness artifacts needed for governed environments.
  • Partner with engineering and leadership stakeholders to keep security actions visible and moving.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vulnerability management?, * 8+ years of related experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, CMIS, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or 4 additional years of related experience.
  • Experience supporting security or compliance engineering in cloud or enterprise application environments.
  • Working knowledge of IAM, encryption, vulnerability management, logging, and auditability fundamentals.
  • Experience helping technical teams translate control expectations into implementation and evidence activities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cloud, application, and delivery stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an organized approach to tracking work.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance or similar, granted by the U.S. Government, which requires U.S. citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual’s eligibility.
  • Must be willing to obtain relevant certifications as required by future client or contract needs.

Preferred

  • Experience with NIST 800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP, RMF, or comparable compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud or other high-security cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with security scanning, remediation workflows, and evidence collection.
  • Candidates local to the St. Louis Metro East market/within commuting distance preferred, although not required.
