Job description
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Tableau Administrator (AWS) on behalf of our client in McLean, VA. This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional with expertise in Tableau administration and cloud-based platform management. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing enterprise Tableau environments while supporting business users and driving platform enhancements. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern analytics technologies, cloud infrastructure, and cross-functional teams in a dynamic enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Administer, monitor, and maintain Tableau Server environments to ensure optimal performance and availability. Manage platform upgrades, configurations, security settings, and user access controls. Support Tableau Desktop users and troubleshoot platform-related issues. Optimize Tableau Server performance, scalability, and reliability. Manage and support Tableau deployments within AWS cloud environments. Implement automation and operational improvements to enhance platform efficiency. Collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical teams to support reporting and analytics initiatives. Establish and maintain governance, security, and best practices for Tableau usage. Create and maintain platform documentation, procedures, and support processes. Evaluate and adopt new Tableau features and capabilities to improve user experience and platform functionality. Required Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 10+ years of overall IT experience. 5+ years of experience as a Tableau Administrator. Strong expertise in Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop administration. Experience working with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS. Experience with platform monitoring, automation, and operational support. Strong understanding of security, governance, and access management principles. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SQL and relational databases. Knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. Exposure to Tableau AI capabilities and modern analytics features. Experience implementing automation and process improvement initiatives. Relevant Tableau and/or AWS certifications. Experience supporting large-scale enterprise analytics platforms. Why Join Us?
