Senior Cloud Engineer

Cloud infrastructure needs to remain reliable as applications grow, workloads change and business demands increase. We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer in Dallas, TX, to take a leading role in designing, maintaining and improving the cloud environments that support our technology operations.

This position is suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys solving infrastructure challenges, evaluating technical options and making systems more efficient. You will take responsibility for cloud architecture decisions, infrastructure automation, platform reliability and technical improvements while working alongside software developers, security professionals and IT operations teams.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
• Lead the planning and implementation of cloud migrations, platform upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
• Develop automated infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar tools.
• Establish monitoring, performance tracking and alerting practices to maintain service availability.
• Investigate complex infrastructure failures, identify root causes and coordinate long-term solutions.
• Improve cloud resource utilization and manage infrastructure costs without compromising performance or reliability.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
• Work with security teams to strengthen access controls, encryption, network configurations and cloud governance.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows in collaboration with application development teams.
• Evaluate new cloud services and technologies to determine their suitability for existing infrastructure.
• Establish technical standards and documentation for cloud architecture, deployment and operational procedures.
• Provide technical direction to other engineers and contribute to infrastructure planning and design reviews.

• Five or more years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, including production environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, virtualization, storage, compute and identity management.
• Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD platforms and automated deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows server administration.
• Understanding of cloud security practices, monitoring solutions and infrastructure governance.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems, network issues and complex infrastructure problems.
• Strong technical documentation, communication and decision-making skills.
• Previous experience providing technical guidance or mentoring other engineers.
