Principal Mainframe Engineer

Our client seeks a Principal Mainframe Engineer to join the FPRS Client Enhancements Team supporting custom enhancements for Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution clients. The role will design, develop, and optimize COBOL and JCL solutions across CICS, DB2, and VSAM, coordinate Control-M scheduling, and serve as a principal solution partner for major clients. The engagement targets year-end deliverables and long-term client initiatives., * Design and implement COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM solutions for client-specific enhancements.

• Manage and optimize batch workflows using Control-M.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define requirements and deliver releases.
• Provide principal-level solution guidance across Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution client initiatives.
• Support year-end processing, testing, and production readiness with strong troubleshooting.

• Proficiency with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and Control-M.
